Creatives in Place Portal Tour Guide – Centerpieces

Creatives in Place Portal Tour Guide – Centerpieces

This web portal provides audio clips of conversations with 22 Bay Area artists. The discussions examined the socio-political conditions that influence their work and well-being, collaborations with various institutions, community groups, and art networks. They also included reflections on the regional arts community and the current historical moment. This guide provides direct links to audio clips of artists discussing four different topics (1) Resistance & Covid, (2) their Centerpieces, (3) The Bay Area & Its People, and (4) Art Challenges & Triumph.

Centerpieces

Each artist was asked to select work that would allow them to tell a story about how their art practice is impacted by the realities of living in the Bay Area.
